Everything you need to protect your files

Simple, powerful encryption that works right from your desktop. No technical knowledge required.

One-Click Encryption

Right-click any file or folder and select “Lock with DataLocker.” Encryption starts immediately. No extra steps.

Master Password

One strong password protects all your files. Minimum 10 characters with uppercase, lowercase, and numbers enforced.

Recovery Key

A 24-character backup key generated at setup. If you forget your password, the recovery key restores access.

Brute-Force Protection

Escalating lockouts after failed attempts: 15 minutes, 1 hour, then 24 hours. Makes password guessing virtually impossible.

Share Locked Files

Send .locked files via WhatsApp, email, Bluetooth, or USB. The recipient needs DataLocker and the password to open them.

Zero Cloud

Everything stays on your machine. No uploads, no accounts, no internet connection required. Your data never leaves your computer.

Three steps. That’s it.

No configuration, no accounts, no cloud setup. Install, set a password, and start locking files.

1

Install DataLocker

Download and run. DataLocker adds itself to your right-click menu automatically.

2

Set Your Password

Create a strong master password. Save your recovery key somewhere safe.

3

Lock Your Files

Right-click any file → “Lock with DataLocker.” The file is now encrypted and protected.

Encryption you can trust

Built on proven cryptographic standards approved by NIST and used by governments worldwide for classified data.

How DataLocker protects your files

Every file is encrypted using AES-128-CBC with HMAC-SHA256 authentication (Fernet standard). This is the same encryption standard approved by NIST and used by government agencies for protecting classified information.

Your password never touches the disk. It is processed through PBKDF2-SHA256 with 600,000 iterations, making brute-force attacks computationally infeasible even with specialized hardware.

The original file is completely replaced by the encrypted version. No unencrypted copies, no temporary files, no traces left behind.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before getting started.

DataLocker uses AES-128-CBC encryption with HMAC-SHA256 authentication (Fernet standard). Your password is processed through PBKDF2-SHA256 with 600,000 iterations. This is the same encryption standard approved by NIST and used by government agencies for classified data.

During setup, DataLocker generates a 24-character recovery key. If you saved it, you can use it to reset your password and regain access. If you lost both your password and recovery key, your encrypted files cannot be recovered by anyone—that is the nature of strong encryption.
